Shore Lunch (Second Place Winner: Adult Wildlife)

We were floating on a pontoon about 2 miles upriver from the St. Croix Falls dam when I spotted this heron slowly stalking along the edge of the river (Wisconsin side). I took a series of shots and caught him catching his lunch. A little bloody, I did not realize that they pierce their catch.
